Our qualified Archery GB coaches can bring archery direct to your school. We teach in primary and secondary schools throughout the country providing programmes for young people aged from 5 to 18 years. Our sessions can be run as part of the curriculum, as an after school club or as a one-off taster.
Archery is a low impact gateway sport, that is both physically and mentally challenging. The benefits from archery include improving mental capacity, physical health and general fitness. Archery can also improve patience and focus and can give the student a strong sense of personal achievement.
We can offer workshops for children of all ages, over half days, full days, activity weeks or long term projects. The activities can be designed to suit your requirements. For example we recently provided archery for a Robin Hood topic. The children were to able to handle our medieval longbows, replica arrows and other resources.
After School Club
Our after school clubs provides a structure for your young people to learn how to shoot a bow and improve their skills. Under the guidance of our Professional Coaches, every junior’s progress is monitored through the lessons and competitions.
Our head coach is a highly qualified county coach and all of our other coaches are Archery GB qualified to at least Level 1 standard. The coaches all have enhanced DBS clearance, child protection course certification and full specific archery insurance. We can also carry out any necessary risk assessments
