Art Workshops in Schools

Briony Jenkins and the team at Pigeon first splashed paint in a classroom in 1999, and since then they’ve just got bolder and brighter. The team have a passion for helping schools with personalised art projects, and specialise in helping schools to devise the right project for their needs. Briony explains her passion here.

At Pigeon Art Workshops we love children’s art and all of the things they make. We never run a session where we don’t see something amazing being made by someone. We like their dribbles and blobs, their mistakes and upside down bits. We like the way they see the world and how they go about showing it.

We are a team of artists and teachers who work with children and with adults in schools and organisations. We like the buzz of heads together making something amazing – we like to walk away leaving behind something that wasn’t there when we arrived. We want everyone to get excited and do more when we are gone.

If you want something for your school, large or small, take a look around the two websites and see if anything appeals. We try to ring the changes with every single project so yours will look different to what you see there but it will look just as good.

We are experienced classroom managers, combining our own art practises with our teaching experience. We can offer mosaics, textiles and 3D; we can work in wood and metal, paint and everything in between. We work indoors and outdoors and make temporary and longer lasting work. We work all the way from the nursery through to school leavers and include Special Needs children and schools.
